EV Battery Automation Project

As the EV market continues to grow, manufacturers are looking to automate the processes of assembling EV batteries. MAC Engineering assisted a company with the implementation and programming of an automated cell for building battery packs. The cell consisted of 6 Fanuc robots performing different tasks simultaneously. Some robots dispensed glue, while others picked and placed the individual cells into the cases. By automating this process, the manufacturer was able to signficantly increase their throughput and eliminate scrap and rework almost entirely.
